Following an official request from the local utility company “Vodovod i Kanalizacija Herceg Novi”, the Regional Waterworks for the Montenegrin Coast has officially commenced water deliveries to the Municipality of Herceg Novi, as of September 1, 2026.
The delivery is currently being realized in an amount of 50 litres per second (l/s), by which the Regional Waterworks contributes to the stability and security of the water supply of the municipality of Herceg Novi. The Regional Waterworks is currently delivering 100% more water than initially contracted to other coastal municipalities.
As a key infrastructure water delivery system, the Regional Waterworks continues to meet the demands of municipal water utilities and, in accordance with its available capacities and technical possibilities, provides its support in securing additional quantities of water.
This operation underscores the vital role the regional water supply system plays in maintaining a dependable water supply for both residents and the local economy along the Montenegrin coast.
