”In honor of the UN World Water Day, 22 March, Regionalni vodovod donated € 20,000 to the National Coordination Body for Infectious Diseases”

“Regionalni vodovod joins the initiative “#STAYATHOME” and shares the key message of the UN 2020 World Water Day campaign “WE CANNOT AFFORD TO WAIT”, thus urging our citizens to show individual responsibility and solidarity and provide personal contribution to the fight against the global pandemic caused by the Corona virus.”

According to the recommendations of the National Coordination Body for Infectious Diseases, Regionalni vodovod has donated € 20,000.00 for the procurement of necessary medical equipment, treatment and aid to Montenegrin citizens in the newly emerged health crisis caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 global pandemic.

We are taking this opportunity to join the initiative: “#STAYATHOME” and share the key message of the UN 2020 World Water Day campaign “WE CANNOT AFFORD TO WAIT” (https://www.worldwaterday.org), with all our citizens, thus urging them to show personal responsibility and solidarity towards other members of our community in the fight against the global pandemic caused by the coronavirus. By promoting the acts of individual responsibility and adherence to the recommendations provided by the Government and the National Coordination Body, we should assist the Montenegrin health and other competent institutions in their efforts to minimize the impact of the global spread of corona virus and keep it under control in Montenegro.   Today, on 22nd of March, when the UN World Water Day would have been celebrated around the World under the slogan “WATER AND CLIMATE CHANGE – WE CANNOT AFFORD TO WAIT”, it should be absolutely clear to all of us that the global challenges which the world is facing nowadays are, in fact, the personal challenges that each one of us has to tackle individually.

Regionalni vodovod, as well as other public utility enterprises, have an additional social responsibility, which is reflected in the continuous operation and provision of all public services to our citizens and the economy. Regionalni vodovod has introduced a special regime of work in this situation, with the aim of protecting the health of its employees, but also providing drinking water of controlled quality to citizens and businesses on the Montenegrin coast.
